the hollydays in so-cal

can i just say how absolutely weird it to drive around at night here in mid-december and see all these holiday lights up.... while people are without jackets and stuff during the day? and scarves are mostly for "fashion" out here? and people wear high fuzzy boots for comfort, not to fight off frostbite?

i cannot get in the holiday spirit with all this sunshine. seriously. i mean i haven't even put up my x-mas tree cause i feel like it's not "time" yet. but the thing is i am leaving in less than a week to head back to the winter wonderland of michigan for the holidays... if i don't get my tree up today i won't even be able to enjoy it.

it just feels wrong. so much about this just feels completely and utterly wrong...
