in the raw
i'm very seriously considering changing my diet to about 80-90% raw.
i can picture a few of you scratching your heads and/or rolling your eyes, but i've been doing quite a bit of research on it. i find that since i'm working from home a lot and because i try to eat small meals throughout the day to keep my blood sugar even, recently i have just been eating too much food in general. and though i'm quite a healthy eater as most of you know, i feel that i may just not be getting enough satisfaction from the foods i am eating. or perhaps enough energy/physical necessities. like the foods i eat are mostly healthy, but perhaps not the "right" foods for my body and mind to operating at peak performance.
at any rate, i am planning to finish up what i have left of the perishable non-raw foods as i start to incorporate raw food recipes into my life over the next week. i'll let you know how it's going--it should certainly be interesting as several of my favorite foods (pasta, seafood, veggie meats, and um wine--gulp!) will be disappearing.
hmm, i wonder if i can still eat sushi...? oh no--the rice.... ah well. that's what the other 10-20% is for :)
anywho, say goodbye to those 5 smobriety pounds that i can't shake.
